SFReader Author Page: Ruth Davis Hays
Ruth Davis Hays is a new name on the Fantasy Book scene, but has been writing since her school days, long, long ago. Although working full time and raising a son took the foreground of her life for the last ten years, she and her husband have worked in Orlando on several independent and short films. She has worked as a costumer at Universal Orlando and written two children's stories as well as illustrating one that her sister wrote which will be available later this year. Her first novel, The Dawnstone Tale, is available on Amazon.com and has been received well by readers so far. The book is the first in a series called Translations from Jorthus. The tales blend medieval fantasy settings with astral and multi-dimensional travel. Now a stay at home mother and wife, she is finishing the second and third volumes that will be out later this year. (Enough of the standard bio that sounds like it came from the back of a book jacket, I have a love for books and a faith that stories in print will outlive all of us. I just hope that my contribution to the great realm of sci-fi/fantasy writing will be enjoyed!--R. D. H.) Check out the website at http://www.booksofjorthus.com or the book on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/Dawnstone-Tale-Translations-Jorthus/dp/1442109262
