"...a must-read author of notable skill and talent." -- Daniel E. Blackston, Firebrand Fiction, 2/16/06
"A rising talent."– Howard Andrew Jones, Chief Editor of SwordandSorcery.org
"Stiennon has created a marvelous character in Jalazar Flinteye, and Axten’s dry sense of humor is not to be missed. Six with Flinteye is full of non-stop action and adventure and tightly woven, believable plots." – Angie Lofthouse, The Sword Review
"Taking archetypical character and plots, Stiennon infuses them with a sense of constant, haunting danger."

1. About Me
Hi, and welcome to my author page! Use the subject headings to navigate to the section which interests you. I’m an author of fantasy and science fiction novels and short stories with several publications under my belt. My first short story collection, Six with Flinteye, was recently released from Silver Lake Publishing, and I won 2nd place in both the 2004 SFReader.com Short Story Contest and the Storn Cook Razor-Edged Fiction Contest with my stories "Asp" and "The Sultan’s Well", respectively. "The Sultan’s Well" will be published in the anthology Sages and Swords, which will be available in bookstores in Spring 2006.
My work tends to contain lots of action and adventure, but I often include elements of tragedy and loss alongside roaring battles. A lot of my work centers around continuing characters, the most prominent of whom is Jalazar Flinteye (Six with Flinteye). I also write tales of Shabak of Talon Point("Death Marks", in issue #9 of Amazing Journeys Magazine), Blademaster ("Asp", 2nd place winner in the 2004 SFReader.com Contest), and others who have yet to see publication.
I love to read fantasy and science fiction alongside some history, mysteries, and historical novels. My favorites include Declare by Tim Powers, the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams, Stephen Lawhead’s Song of Albion trilogy, and King Solomon’s Mines by H. Rider Haggard. I review books for Deep Magic: The E-zine of High Fantasy and Science Fiction as well as SFReader.com.
If you want to contact me, send me an e-mail at flinteye@gmail.com . I’m always glad to get reader feedback.
